The experience that I had just simulated was basically the peppermint act, where King Aidan read these little pink cards that stated what to tax my class and I, then the tax collectors (Ben and Brazie) would go and collect our peppermints according to what the little pink card stated. What I learned from that tax simulation experience was that taxing was and still is absolutely no fun to adults everywhere!
